About the artist:
The potter Francesca Kaye makes handmade, limited edition ceramics at the end of her leafy rambling garden in north London. Her work is very colourful, eclectic, sculptural and more than a bit wonky. At the moment she loves making vases in her trademark chimney style, either covered in flowers or in cool, creamy white.
She gets bored very quickly so when making a range of things, its usually in small batches ...once its gone she usually never repeats it. Inspiration comes from early childhood memories, Hungarian and Moroccan ceramics, pattern, naive folk art, vintage fabric and the ceramics department of the V&A.
