Since the 1980s Matsumoto traveled across the world to capture the portraits of major contemporary artists and dancers based in New York, Paris, Tokyo and further afield. In particular she followed the women artists she most wished to meet and rendered them in a unique light.
This books features the unique portraits of 14 female artists including Yoko Ono and Yayoi Kusama.
