Born in the 1940s, Jonas Plosky studied at Hornsey College of Art, then made this living as a designer and illustrator while developing his strong talent as a landscape painter.
Many of his landscape feature the fells, dales and upland, especially of North Wales. But it was also the sheer diversity of his work, exemplified by his humorous subject, that ensured that he attracted attention as a regular contributor to the Royal Academy summer exhibition and at London galleries.
