Handmade in Japan, Arita, the porcelain is completed through a comprehensive combination of techniques for clay, molding, glazing, and firing.
Porcelain is an essential part of our lives. In 1952, the founder, Kunio Fukuda named it "Fukusen" with the hope that good fortune and happiness would flow from the pottery like a fountain. White, hard, and light-transmitting porcelain is made from clay that contains a good balance of plasticity, silica, and feldspar. In the early 17th century, this clay was discovered at the Izumiyama Pottery Stone Factory, and porcelain was first made in Hizen (Arita region) in Japan.
